Professor Andy McIntosh DSc, FIMA, CMath, FEI, CEng, FInstP, MIGEM, FRAeS is an emeritus professor (research) of Thermodynamics at the University of Leeds and an adjunct professor at Mississippi State University. He has lectured and researched in these fields for over 30 years and has a DSc from the University of Wales and a PhD from Cranfield University.
A Fellow of the Institute of Physics, the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications, and the Royal Aeronautical Society, he now lectures in many countries on the subject of origins, showing that the science is entirely consistent with the Bible, and contrary to the dogmatic assertions of secular humanists, that the science does does not fit well with evolutionary thinking. His lectures on design cover many areas including the marvels of the design of the human body, the bombardier beetle (which work was awarded the 2010 Times Higher Educational award for the Outstanding Contribution to Innovation and Technology), the exquisite design of birds, bats and the flying insects, and information and thermodynamics.

Frequently asked Questions
Many questions are asked of Andy at Creation meetings concerning the Creation or Evolution debate. What is evident is that many do not realise the scientific coherence of the Creation position and the many assumptions coupled with a large dose of speculation that is in the evolutionary attempt to explain the observable facts. Those taking a Creation position do not say they can answer all the questions but we can give a robust defence of the Creation position. Here are answers to some of the most often asked questions:
Frequent Questions
Principles of Flight
Andy has long studied the principles of flight. Flight in the natural world show the principles of irreducible complexity - see the video "Intricacies of Flight" and "Marvellous flight of insects"
Lectures
Andy lectures widely both on the science of design in the living world, and the theological necessity of keeping to a straightforward understanding of Genesis. He also speaks regularly evangelistically on the fact that Science is not in opposition to a Christian worldview.

Webinar : Science Mathematics and Beauty6pm (UK time) Weds 11th November
The power of mathematics is really a very strong argument for the existence of the transcendent God over all, and in whose image we are made.

Debates
Andy has done a number of debates against Atheists and Evolutionists. Notable debates have been with Dr. Will Provine of Cornell University on March 12th 2010 on "Flight in Birds and Bats", and also on April 18th 2013 he debated Dr. Glenn Geher of the State University of New York New Paltz on the subject of "Mind and Intelligence – can evolution of creation best explain rationality and original thought". Both those debates are available as DVDs at the resources page below.
More recently Andy debated Terry Moseley (of Humanists Northern Ireland) on April 21st 2016 on the question "Can Atheism make sense of reality?" and on Jan 19th 2017, he debated Dr. Richard Norman at UKC Canterbury on the same question. There have been two debates against the atheist Dan Barker who was a pastor at a Californian church. Andy debated him on Sept 26th 2017 in San Diego and then again at the University of Louisville, Kentucky on Feb 26th 2018. That debate is available here and his other talks are available at the Resources page booking form
Andy is happy to consider further debates. Please use the booking form to book Andy for a debate. (more…)
